Description
Janette produces educational materials in a variety of blended learning formats such as online training, videos, brochures, posters, and other media. She served as Chair of the UC Systemwide Training and Education Workgroup (STEW). Janette functions as the Director of the Center of Excellence for Training & Education where she has produces training courses in a variety of blended learning formats such as eLearning, videos, webinars, and other streaming media. In this role Janette provides the campuses and medical centers with accessible and effective training and education resources.
Background
Janette de la Rosa Ducut has over 20 years of experience in education and training in a regulated environment. Over the past decade she has changed the way universities provide training by publishing hundreds of online training courses in risk, health, and safety. She specializes in eLearning, video production, and integrating active learning experiences. As the Director of Training & Education at the University of California Riverside, she established the Center of Excellence for Risk & Safety Training. Janette has a Master of Public Administration, Doctor of Education degree, and has conducted academic research in memory, cognition, and ethics education.
She has served in positions such as Director of Education / Academic Dean, Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs, Manager of Training and Process Improvement, Quality Assurance Associate, Education Coordinator, Business Manager, and Student Service Center Manager. Prior to coming to UCR she served at Everest College, American Red Cross, and California State University Los Angeles. Janette also has experience as a publications manager / editor, webmaster, and IT consultant for educational and health care institutions.
